IGCSE and IBDP students of CPS, Global Thirumazhisai participated in the Youth Policy Dialogue conducted by Chennai Public School; Thirumazhisai in coalition with the Concorde Collective.YPD is a Dialogue where students attempt to solve grassroot issues by presenting their views on the policies and problems of their respective cities.
The agenda for the Chennai chapter were –
- Dynamics of achievement gap between Private and Public schools,
- The need for India to import basic amenities rather than developing it themselves and
- Exploitation of minerals and natural resources in the country.
We had our students participating in all the three committees. – Sanjith Velraj of IGCSE Yr2 and Abhinand P of IBDP Yr1 received verbal mention for their exemplary contribution to their respective committees.
The responses of our students stand testimony that we are on the right track in empowering our students.
