“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”

–         Hippocrates.

A healthy and a balanced diet is essential for good health. Healthy foods do not only impact our physical health but mental health too. Encouraging kids to eat healthy food right from early years is very much essential. As a part of our ELP curriculum our toddlers of ELP2 are learning about table manners and healthy foods. Various activities were done by the children to understand which foods are healthy and which are unhealthy. They were also taught about the bad effects of eating junk food.

Once they learnt the names of foods with the help of colourful flashcards, they were ready to do the activity. The children were instructed by the teacher to pick any one picture of a food item, say whether it is healthy or junk and stick it in the appropriate place. Each one of them did the activity with real enthusiasm.

Healthy children are our future leaders and responsible citizens as well. Our ELP children will definitely follow what they learnt. Yes, our toddlers are firmer in eating only healthy food.

Yes, to Healthy food! No to Junk food!!
