World Postal Day, an annual observance to commemorate the anniversary of Universal Postal Union was celebrated by the learners of the Early Learning Program (ELP) of CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai with great enthusiasm. They took to visit the local post office and learn first-hand the intricacies of the functioning of the department and to understand the vital role the department has played over the years to shape this world into a better place.

The trip found its significance when the Postmaster masterfully outlined the key roles of the department at the Present age and also threw in a few references about the usage of the department in the past. Under the guidance of the Postmaster, the learners had an informative sneak-peek of the efficient sorting and packaging of the letters and couriers by the postmen. The precision and craftsmanship of this endeavour ensured the safe and swift dispatch of the letters and consignments to the addressees.

The post office staff went the extra mile to engage the students by displaying a captivating array of postcards, envelope covers, and stamps. The staff also took the time to explain the stamping process, making it a hands-on learning experience.

As part of an interactive activity, the students sent postcards to their parents, each bearing their unique thumb impression. They also drew and wrote personal message over the cards which added a personal touch to their messages.

In conclusion, the World Postal Day visit was an enriching experience for the ELP learners. It deepened their understanding of the importance of postal system and left a lasting impression on them.
