In the early years, we emphasize activities that promote holistic development, nurturing children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth through enjoyable and engaging experiences.
The watermelon colouring and red paint dabbing activity supported EY 2C toddlers in developing their fine motor skills through crayon gripping and paint dabbing, enhancing their hand-eye coordination and colour recognition. This activity encouraged creativity and sensory exploration by allowing children to experiment with different textures and techniques. It also promoted focus and language development as toddlers learned new words such as “watermelon,” “red,” and “dab.” Furthermore, the activity fostered social interaction and boosted confidence as the children enjoyed completing their artwork in an engaging, hands-on environment.
