Magnets can do amazing things that feel almost magical. Imagine being a wizard with the ability to move things with just your mind—this is exactly what magnets can do! They have a special force that allows them to attract (pull) or repel (push) certain metal objects. When we bring two magnets close together, sometimes they pull each other in, and sometimes they push each other away.
After learning how magnets work, the children gathered a mix of magnetic and non-magnetic materials and placed them in a tray. With their eyes closed, each child picked an item and tested it with a magnet to see if it would attract or repel. They then sorted the items into two groups: magnetic and non-magnetic. This hands-on activity turned learning about magnets into an exciting adventure.
