June 21 is recognised as International Yoga Day throughout the world. Yoga is a mind-body exercise that can increase flexibility and strength. It focuses on achieving harmony between the body and mind.
Learners of grades 1 and 2 have learned more and increased their understanding of the myriad advantages of yoga and its comprehensive approach to physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Numerous yoga practices that include physical poses, breathing exercises, and meditation have been made clear to our students’ impressionable minds. Our children saw healthy living as both an art and science.
This day served as a wonderful opportunity to introduce primary children to the transformative power of yoga. By incorporating yoga into their lives, children can experience physical fitness, emotional well-being, and a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them. Let’s embrace this beautiful practice and unlock the potential within our young yogis, paving the way for a healthy life ahead.
