Show and Tell @CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai

Tell me and I forget,

Teach me and I remember,

Involve me and I will learn.

At CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, Early Years young scientists had the Show and tell event on the various topics they learnt.

The young Stars of EY1 kids identified and named the body parts which enhanced self awareness. Songs like “head shoulders, knees and toes” incorporate body part identification into a fun, rhythmic experience. Students had an amazing experience to expand their vocabulary and improve their ability to express themselves.

EY2 students accurately identified and named the parts of the plant. Recognizing the parts of the plant, they also understood carrot and potato as roots, lettuce as leaves and apple as fruit. The children were able to relate the knowledge of the parts of the plant in everyday life. This activity fostered a sense of responsibility and care for plants and the environment.

The students of EY 3 presented wonderful models of their favorite place, including parks, grocery stores, libraries, and schools for the show-and-tell session. It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to share their experiences about the different places that make our neighborhood unique and vibrant. This highlighted the diversity and importance of the places in our community, fostering a deeper appreciation and connection among the students.

Their enthusiasm in learning was seen in their art work, posters and real objects. Reinforcing the topic through this activity gave a deeper sense of knowledge and a great opportunity to equip them to be a confident orator.
