Show and Tell is fun and helps children grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Being the center of attention for a few minutes will make them feel special and important. These emotions will make them feel more confident and valued. Social skills are also gained with show and tell, for both the speaker and the audience. There is encouragement for the audience to sit still and listen thoroughly, taking all the information in. For the speaker, there is encouragement to ensure that they are heard loud and clear and make sure that the information gets to the audience. The discipline and respect for others is therefore strengthened throughout this process.
In our EY3, the children came prepared with the topic “My best day in school.” The children were thrilled to share their favorite school-related memories like the first day at school, the art activity in class, the time they spent with their best buddies, and more.
