An investment in knowledge pays the best interest -Benjamin Franklin
At the heart of confidence and poise lies the art of sharing insights on stage, a skill perfected by the young learners of ELP. The Show and Tell event that took place on the 28th of August, 2023 served as a platform for the ELP learners to showcase their diligence when it comes to thinking creatively and expressing ideas on a given topic. The rostrum came alive as our young learners presented a splendid array of talks, igniting self-esteem and pride. This endeavour not only strengthens their familiarity with the topic but also nurtures a skill set that is essential for effective communication in the real world. “Show and Tell” provided learners the opportunity to share their month-long learning from August. ELP 1 learners focused on farm animals. They shared toys, picture cards, and charts with enthusiasm. ELP 2 learners discovered animals’ parental instincts this month. Through presentations, stories, and activities, they explored animal parenting. They also learnt about the names of animal offspring, such as a cow’s calf and a monkey’s infant. In the Show & Tell, learners shared their learning using charts and toys. ELP 3 students grasped the concept of the food chain this month. They demonstrated their understanding by presenting models and charts that depicted how energy transfers between different organisms in the chain. The great aim of education is not knowledge but action said Herbert Spencer. From his lines, the essence of education resonates through the actions of our young learners. Through the canvas of Show & Tell, these learners actively painted their newfound knowledge with brilliant and vibrant hues.
