Session 4 on Jantar Mantar was an engaging session in which students were guided to explore ways to appreciate both the historical significance of astronomy and the practical applications of observational astronomy. The students learned the use of each tool designed to measure time, predict eclipses, and track celestial bodies’ positions. This session helped the students understand how people used to observe the sky and make accurate predictions before the invention of modern telescopes. It also made them understand the connection between historical instruments and modern-day astronomy.
