In EY3 we investigated force and motion. “Forces can cause objects to move in different ways.”
They all now know that NOTHING will move without a force! Children were curious to know What kind of force makes objects move. So we investigated! We concluded that every force is one of two things! Pushing or pulling! We made all kinds of things move, we use our muscles to push our bodies and make them move! We tried to push a toy car, chair, and the door. We made connections with these two forces to real experiences! Then, we began our push and pull research project by sorting the pictures, a scavenger hunt to where push and pull is used
We went to our favourite place, the I Genius lab to reinforce our learning. Now it was time to do some pushing and pulling! Different stations were set up for our young scientists to explore the force involved. This included syringes, murukku squeeze, lemon squeeze, Cylinder knob puzzle, miniature bow and arrow, and other objects like punching machines, clips, poppets, and remotes to name a few. They experimented and recorded their observation.
