EY2 children explored the unique properties of a non newtonian fluid.By sharing the story of Bartholomew and oobleck, children made a mixture of corn, water and colour. The goal is to get a consistency where the oobleck reaches a state that is liquid and yet solid. They thus discovered the characteristics of oobleck that allow it to behave as both a solid and a liquid. This hands-on experience not only sparked their curiosity but also helped them develop their scientific thinking.
