Investigation on Newton’s Law of Cooling @CPS GS, ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

The rate at which an object cools is proportional to the difference in temperature between the object and the object’s Surroundings

Students of grade 8 were observing the rate of cooling of water in two conditions. One when placed inside a insulating material  and when placed outside, followed by plotting a graph on the observations made . The hands-on activity and experiment helped the learners to explore the cooling curve of water under normal conditions and insulated conditions in the lab. An excellent end to the activity was the learners’ briefing their understanding of the concept to their peer learners.
