Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to
the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything

Beats and melodies intertwined through an enchanting realm of music on the evening of June 21, 2023, at CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, coinciding with World Music Day. The school embraced the spirit of World Music Day with fervor and joy, resulting in a magical occasion that brought together learners, facilitators, and music enthusiasts to revel harmoniously in the power of harmonies. Soulful renditions and foot-tapping beats showcased the universal language of music, transcending boundaries and connecting hearts.
The celebration commenced with a captivating introduction to music by Mr. Arthur, the Music Facilitator, whose passion stirred up the spirit of music and emphasized its significance in our daily lives. As the rhythm of our hearts mirrored the tempo of a symphony, we were reminded of how music intertwines with our emotions, inspiring our souls and awakening our feelings.
The stage came alive as Ayanaa Daniel, a talented student from CAIE 8, took center stage. With a voice that resonated like a breeze of fresh air, she mesmerized the audience with her rendition of “Never Enough” from the movie “The Greatest Showman.” Her performance transported us to a world where dreams soar and aspirations take flight.
Next, Bhavana Priya Linoth Venkatesh, a young prodigy from IGCSE Year 1, graced us with her piano skills. The effortless dance of her fingers across the keys wove a tapestry of emotions. Each note she played carried the weight of a thousand stories, leaving us in awe of her talent and dedication. Her delightful rendition of a Trinity Grade 4 piece left us spellbound, lingering in our hearts long after the last chord faded.
The music facilitator added his unique touch to the celebration with his mellifluous voice as he serenaded us with the timeless classic “La La Lero.” The room filled with warmth and exuberance as his voice wrapped around us like a comforting embrace. It was a moment of pure bliss as we basked in the magic of his music.
To infuse a light-hearted element into the event, he orchestrated a fun-filled rendition of “Tony Chestnut Brain Breaks.” Laughter filled the air as students across grades joined in the playful movements and catchy tunes. It served as a delightful reminder that music not only touches our souls but also brings joy and camaraderie.
As the curtains wafted down on this memorable celebration, the echoes of music lingered in the air, leaving us with a renewed appreciation for the power of melodies and rhythms. World Music Day had truly created a harmonious symphony of emotions, connecting us all through the universal language of music.
In a world where differences often divide humans, music unites them in a beautiful tapestry of diversity and harmony. It reminds us that despite learners’ unique backgrounds and cultures, they share a common love for melodies that have the power to touch the depths of their souls.
May the magic of music continue to resonate within them, guiding them on a melodic journey of self-expression and unity. With every beat, note, and rhythm, may they find solace, inspiration, and the power to create a better world.
Happy World Music Day!
