Every year, World Food Day is celebrated across the world on October 16, highlighting the global campaigns to end hunger and make sure that every individual has access to nutritious food. This year’s theme for World Food Day is “Right to Foods for a Better Life and a Better Future” as a timely reminder that all people have the right. Our EY Show and Tell was to throw light on this theme.
Our tiny tots of EY 1 shared the fruits and vegetables they don’t particularly enjoy but are good for their health and listed the nutritional facts like Spinach is packed with iron and broccoli is a superfood. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to express their feelings and learn about the importance of trying new foods, even if they’re not favourites!
Our EY 2 learners went one step ahead and explored the food that helps build immunity and keep us healthy. The children enthusiastically discussed foods that combat diseases, focusing on antioxidants and immunity boosters.
Can we eat any food in any weather even if it’s healthy? Our EY3 kids were prepared to help us be mindful of how our food choices change with the seasons. They took us on a delightful journey to explore what we eat throughout the year and why it matters!
