Our young learners were all excited to learn the new concept of “one less than” through the number line. This was a fantastic way to understand and learn the concept visually. Simple number line was made on the floor from 1-10. Children were encouraged to stand in a given number and identify the previous number. Ice cream sticks were given to them to count and fill the cup accordingly.
The concept of one less than was successfully implemented. Counting backward using the number line was fun. Children are on their way to becoming amazing mathematicians.
