Exploring Healthcare: IB Year 2 Students at the Medical Camp

On September 29, 2024, enthusiastic IB Year 2 students of CPS Global school, Thirumazhisai participated in a transformative medical camp at Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, organized in collaboration with The Madras Medical Mission and Lions Club International. This immersive experience allowed students to engage hands-on with vital medical tools and procedures.

Students assisted cardiac technicians in producing Electrocardiogram graphs, learning about their significance in diagnosing heart conditions. They were fascinated by the “mobile diagnostic clinic,” which featured live demonstrations of treadmill assessments for cardiac fitness. Observing echocardiograms and the innovative vacuum delivery system for blood samples added to their insights.

This camp ignited a passion for healthcare among the students, underscoring the importance of early exposure to the medical field. Leaving with a deeper understanding of cardiac health, they felt inspired to make a difference in people’s lives, highlighting a promising future for aspiring healthcare professionals!
