The parent orientation for Grades CIE 6 to 8 was held on 23rd June 2024, welcoming both the parents of newly enrolled students and those whose children have been with us in previous academic years. The vibrant and fruitful session lasted over an hour.
Ms. Vedha, the Cambridge Lower Secondary team lead, guided parents through the Math, Science, and English curriculum of Cambridge Lower Secondary. She explained its requirements and how it prepares students to achieve the clearly defined objectives. The Cambridge learner attributes—Responsible, Reflective, Innovative, Confident, and Engaged—and their impact on lifelong learning were emphasized. Ms. Vedha introduced the middle school faculty and highlighted the skills and concepts covered in other subjects such as II Language, Global Perspectives, Social Sciences, and non-scholastic areas including Life Skills, Physical Education, and Art and Craft.
The school’s rules and regulations, expectations for CPS learners, school hours, and the forum for parents to discuss and clarify doubts about their wards was thoroughly explained. Details of the classes and subjects handled by the middle school teachers, along with their school email IDs, were provided to the parents. A feedback form was also emailed to the parents to gather and consolidate their views on the session. In summary, the session was very interactive and proved to be highly beneficial to the parents.
