Energetic Exploration of Reaction Thermodynamics @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

Our CIE 7 students eagerly ventured into the captivating realm of reaction thermodynamics, exploring the energy interplay of dynamic molecules. Immersed in hands-on experiments, they radiated curiosity and a zeal for discovery.

In chemical reactions, bonds in the reactants are broken, and new bonds are formed in the products. The energy required to break bonds is called bond dissociation energy, while the energy released during bond formation is referred to as bond formation energy.

The classroom buzzed with excitement as students keenly observed the mercury levels rise and fall, vividly showcasing the temperature shifts caused by their chemical experiments.
