Counting up @ CPSGS, ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

Addition in kindergarten can be the first step toward a long-lasting appreciation of math and counting is the basic math skill associated with it. After working hard on number identification, number sense, and counting, it’s time for students to put it all together…literally. It helps kids master the relationship between numbers and understand how quantities relate to one another.

Today children of EY2A learnt counting in a fun way. A handful of marbles were kept in the bowl. A pair of kids picked a random number of marbles from the bowl and counted them together as a team to give the grand total. Children enjoyed the game and learnt the concept of counting up. This simple game is so fun that they learnt the concept of counting up and they’ll want to play again and again.
