Sink and float are simple but fundamental concepts in science that help us explore how objects interact with water. This concept is all about understanding an object’s buoyancy, which is its ability to stay afloat or sink in water. For young learners, understanding sink and float is not only educational but also an exciting way to explore the properties of various objects. Using pencils, coins, leaves, paper straws, crayons, papers, steel spoons, wooden spoons, sticks, twigs, stones, magnets, wood pieces and erasers children were able to identify the objects that will sink or float. It encouraged children to make predictions, observe outcomes, and learn about the world around them through hands-on experimentation.
