Angles surround us, shaping the corners of everyday objects and influencing the structure of buildings. Mastering the skill of estimating and classifying angles is not only fundamental to geometry but also vital in fields like computer graphics and robotics.
Our Grade 4 learners embarked on a fascinating exploration of angles, discovering various methods and appreciating the importance of geometric precision. Through the creative use of paper fans, they estimated and categorized different angles. These fans, beyond their typical use, transformed into interactive tools that brought the concept of angles to life. Students also explored the angle sum property of a straight line by combining fan angles to form a total of 180 degrees.
