Addition tree @ CPSGS, ANN

“What is mathematics? It is only a systematic effort of solving puzzles posed by nature.”— Shakuntala Devi

Addition means putting two numbers together to make a larger one. Our EY 3 tiny tots learnt addition in different ways. One of the fun ways to learn is using an addition tree.

They will relate the sentence and place the correct numbers on the tree, using their fine motor skill of one-to-one correspondence. Then, they will place the appropriate number tiles in the boxes to make the matching addition.

Mathematics is the result of mysterious powers which one understands. Out of an infinity of designs a mathematician chooses one pattern  and pulls it down to earth.
