Our young learners of EY3A enthusiastically participated in an engaging Word Building activity. The session aimed to enhance their understanding of CVC (Consonant–Vowel–Consonant) word patterns, focusing on the ‘a’ and ‘e’ vowel families.
This hands-on experience strengthened the children’s phonemic awareness as they listened attentively to initial sounds and learned to blend them to form complete words. It also helped build their vocabulary and spelling confidence through visual and auditory cues.
The activity encouraged active participation and independent thinking, as children took pride in decoding and constructing words on their own. Their excitement was evident as they confidently read and named each picture with joy and accuracy.
