Show and Tell, an activity designed to enhance the descriptive skills of the learners and allow
them to communicate their feelings, thoughts, and emotions with words, was conducted for
the ELP students of CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai. This time, the students embarked on
an exciting journey, delving into topics centred around the fascinating world of science.
Three intriguing subjects formed the corner stone of discussion: the diversity of fruits and
vegetables, the significance of a well-balanced diet, and the various stages in the plant life
cycle.
For the ELP 1 students, the centre stage of discussion was the enchanting realm of fruits and
vegetables. They shared their knowledge by showcasing a wide array of popular and exotic
fruits and vegetables. It was a wonderful experience for our kids to enlighten their peers with
their newfound knowledge.
Moving on to the ELP 2 students, their show and tell presentation was captivating, as they
explored the benefits of opting for a well-balanced diet and the drawbacks of excessive junk
food consumption. The students impressed the audience by utilizing interesting examples and
properties that supported their speech. Their expressions brought awe and excitement,
making it an exhilarating moment to witness their knowledge in action.
As for the ELP 3 students, their sojourn into the world of flora went beyond mere
appreciation. They delved into the intricate stages of the plant life cycle, detailing the
blooming journey of these beautiful buds. Witnessing their enthusiasm in understanding the
marvels of nature was truly priceless.
Throughout the event, a profound connection between humans and the magnificent realm of
nature was evident. In the words of Albert Einstein, 'Look deep into nature, and then you
will understand everything better,' the ELP students not just appreciated the beauty of the
flora around them but also made earnest attempts to understand their intricacies. The students'
journey into the intriguing world of plants during the Show and Tell activity allowed them to
embrace the wonders of nature and gain insights that will stay with them for a lifetime
