The “Health & Hygiene” initiative undertaken by the IBDP year 2 students of CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai as part of their IAYP/CAS program showcased their commitment to making a positive impact in the community. On June 30, 2023, these students organized a remarkable donation drive, aiming to enhance the learning environment for pre-primary students in a nearby government school. Their noble endeavour involved donating much-needed furniture to deserving students at the Thirumazhisai Government School.
Through meticulous planning and unwavering coordination, these dedicated students took their first step towards this noble cause. Their primary objective was to provide tables and chairs to the pre-primary students, with the intention of fostering an improved educational experience and creating a truly conducive learning environment.
The day of the furniture delivery was an atmosphere filled with excitement and anticipation. With great enthusiasm, the IB2 students unloaded the tables and chairs from the vehicles, captivating the attention and wonder of the pre-primary students. Witnessing the joy and amazement on the young learners’ faces as they realized that these new additions were exclusively for them brought immense satisfaction to the IB2 students. To their pleasant surprise, students from higher grades at the Government School enthusiastically stepped forward, extending their helping hands to carry the furniture into the school. This act of camaraderie beautifully demonstrated the power of unity and compassion, transcending the boundaries of age and grade levels. Working harmoniously together, these students fostered an environment of collaboration and community spirit.
