Reading is the gateway skill that makes all the other learnings possible
The Book week celebration has been a special one, as our students were given the space to experience the essence of our program, ‘DEAR – Drop Everything and Read’.
The whole school was filled with the vibrancy of reading and learning together in joy, reverberating the nuances of book reading.
The students experienced the joy of reading through various activities, such as Story Sequence, Narration of the Cartoon story, Balloon burster, developing a Cell Phone WhatsApp Chat, going places and spinning the stories, Readers’ Theatre, Book Buffet, and many more like this.
The Scholastic ‘Book Fair’ tagged along the week’s best and paved the way for the students to purchase the best lot from the bookshelf.
Adding to the joy of book week, the special assembly had a session where the students captivated our minds with their presentation of book reviews. They shared their reviews on the books that were recently launched, touched on the outline, characters, and settings of the books, and left us with suspense that inspired us to read.
It ignited the sparks amongst the students to have hold of the recommended books for happy reading.
