The Spark of Discovery: Exploring Electrical Conductivity! @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Science isn’t just about answers—it’s about asking the right questions!”

CIE3 students embarked on an electrifying investigation to understand how water conducts electricity. Through hands-on experiments, they discovered that pure water does not conduct electricity, while water containing salts, minerals, or impurities does. By testing different water samples, they observed that dissolved substances enable electrical flow, making ordinary water a conductor. This led to an intriguing question—how do humans conduct electricity? They learned that since the human body is about 70% water and contains essential salts and minerals from food, it becomes a natural conductor. This eye-opening experiment connected science to real life, deepening their understanding of electrical conductivity in everyday scenarios.

Science is everywhere—sometimes, even in a single drop of water!”
