Superheroes to the Rescue: Tackling Macroeconomic Supervillains @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

Learning macroeconomics came to life through our exciting “Superheroes and Macroeconomics” classroom challenge. Working in teams, students selected a well-known superhero and responded to an economic crisis created by a super villain. Their task was to choose the most effective macroeconomic policies to restore stability and protect the economy.

For every appropriate policy selected to counter the super villain’s actions, teams earned points. Additional points were awarded for clearly explaining how their chosen policies would affect key macroeconomic objectives such as economic growth, inflation, unemployment, and the balance of payments, while supporting their decisions with sound economic reasoning.

The points-based challenge created an energetic and competitive learning environment, encouraging students to think strategically, collaborate effectively, and apply economic theory to real-world scenarios. By combining creativity with critical thinking, the activity deepened students’ understanding of macroeconomic policies and demonstrated how governments use these tools to address economic challenges.
