World Environment Day – DakshinaChitra @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

Kicking off our first field trip of this academic year, our students embarked on an inspiring and fun-filled journey to DakshinaChitra for a curated Environment Day workshop. The morning was packed with immersive, hands-on learning—from identifying native tree species and crafting eco-friendly cloth tote bags to racing through a sustainability-themed treasure hunt and engaging in thought-provoking conversations with green experts. The absolute highlight of the day was witnessing an innovative atmospheric water dispenser that traps atmospheric air condensed and filtered moisture directly from the air into drinkable water, leaving everyone in awe of modern green technology. After a short lunch break, the experience shifted to a spectacular visual treat as students toured the beautifully preserved heritage homes of South India, discovering the brilliant, eco-conscious architecture and daily lifestyle practices of our ancestors. This unforgettable first field trip concluded with a meaningful reflection circle where students gathered to share how they could bridge the sustainable wisdom of the past with the technological innovations of the future.
