Policy Makers – Wear the Thinking Hat? @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Policy-makers are often forced to make decisions under conditions of uncertainty, but the results of these decisions may directly influence a country’s overall economic performance. Students were given a close encounter of this decision making and its impact by analyzing the case study provided based on the conflict of the macro economic objectives. Through this activity, students were able to collaborate in pairs and present their opinions and ideas. They shared their conclusions and learnings with the rest of the class using various diagrams. Students illustrated the concepts through various diagrams. The benefits and drawbacks of the various policy instruments used, as well as their implications, were discussed. This activity gave an opportunity for the students to share diverse perspectives and ideas, fostering creativity and innovation. This helped the students to consolidate their learning, making it easier to remember and apply information in real life situations.
