The ECA Culmination for Music and Dance, held on 27 February at CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, was a vibrant celebration of creativity, dedication, and the performing arts. The event provided students with a wonderful platform to showcase the skills they had developed throughout the year in their ECA classes. Students from CAIE 1–4, CAIE 6–7, IG 1, and IG 2 participated enthusiastically, presenting a delightful range of musical and dance performances.
The youngest performers from CAIE 1–4 impressed the audience by demonstrating their understanding of staff notation and basic keyboard techniques through short piano performances. Some students also delighted the audience with familiar themes such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Interstellar. The music segment also featured a graceful a cappella performance, followed by a choir presentation by the senior students. The CAIE 6–7 and IG groups focused mainly on vocal music, confidently showcasing the vocal training and musical skills they had developed during the year.
The dance segment brought vibrant energy to the stage. The performances began with the Primary students, whose cheerful expressions and lively movements immediately engaged the audience. This was followed by an energetic routine by the CAIE 6–7 group, highlighting their growing confidence and coordination. The IG 1 and IG 2 students captivated the audience with more advanced choreography, displaying strong stage presence, rhythm, and well-synchronized movements.
The programme concluded with a grand finale that brought dancers from all groups together for a vibrant culminating performance. The finale beautifully captured the spirit of teamwork, creativity, and passion for the performing arts, bringing the celebration to a memorable and uplifting close.
