Magnetic Marvels: Creating Electromagnets in Action! @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

Electricity and magnetism go hand in hand”

CIE4 students explored electromagnetism by building electromagnets. Using a battery, they tested various materials like an iron nail, a steel key, and a metal coin. As electricity flowed, a magnetic field formed, turning the objects into electromagnets.

They successfully attracted iron objects, demonstrating the connection between electricity and magnetism. Through this experiment, students learned how electromagnets work and their applications in real life, such as in electric motors, maglev trains, and MRI machines.

This hands-on activity deepened their understanding of electromagnetism’s role in modern technology and industrial advancements.

“Innovation begins with curiosity and a single spark!”
