Learning about the layers of the earth is fun when we have activities and ideas in our classroom. Teaching students about the structure of the Earth, this 3D layer of the Earth really helps bring it to life. Using a hands-on activity with clay helps inquirers be able to conceptualize what they’re learning and be able to retain it. Our little Einsteins of EY 3 made their own 3D model of the layers of earth using clay. Not only did they have fun, but they are sure to retain the learning for future inquiry.
