On June 15, 2024, CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, proudly welcomed the new cohort of students for the IB Orientation Programme, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for the batch of 2024-2026. This significant event was designed to introduce students to the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and to foster a sense of community. The orientation was a resounding success, reflecting the school’s commitment to the IB philosophy, which emphasizes critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and respect for others.
The day began with a warm welcome from Head of School Ms. Sreedevi Varakavi, who highlighted the importance of the IB philosophy and the unique opportunities it offers. Her inspiring words set a positive tone for the day’s events. Key components of the IB Diploma Programme, including Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), were introduced through engaging sessions.
Guidance counsellors assisted students in choosing subjects wisely, ensuring alignment with their interests and future aspirations. Team-building exercises and cultural exchange activities were organized to help students bond and develop a global perspective. Dedicated faculty members shared insights on holistic education and global citizenship, underscoring their commitment to student success.
