In Early years, children are at an age where learning is best received through play and exploration. Introducing blends—two or three letters that come together to create a distinct sound—can be an engaging and interactive experience for young learners. By incorporating a playful methodology, we can make the process of learning blends both educational and enjoyable.
As part of the learning process children of EY2C used flash cards to blend words and tried to spell the sounds by seeing the picture.
This playful approach not only helps children grasp the concept of blends but also fosters a love for learning that will benefit them as they continue their educational journey.
