Our CIE 2 students recently took on an exciting math challenge with a game called “Add/Subtract – Strike It,” designed to boost their addition and subtraction skills in a fun, competitive way! Each student received a “ticket” with numbers and a sheet for quick calculations.
Here’s how it worked: the teacher announced a problem, and students had just one minute to solve it. The twist? They could only mark off the answer on their ticket if the problem involved regrouping (carrying or borrowing to the next place value). If it didn’t, they had to wait for the next question!
This fast-paced game sharpened their mental math skills, encouraged quick thinking, and added a fun twist to math practice. “Add/Subtract – Strike It” turned a regular review into an interactive session, building confidence and sparking enthusiasm for math!
