Written by cpsglobalblog

CIE 1 students engaged in a dynamic statistics hands-on activity using toothpicks to represent tally marks. This hands-on experience not only reinforced their understanding of tally marks but also encouraged creativity and team work.

Using toothpicks for tally marks turned an abstract concept into a concrete experience. It encouraged active participation, helped students visualize data more clearly, and made the learning process interactive and enjoyable. This activity also highlighted the importance of accuracy and collaboration in data collection and analysis.

Each student used toothpicks to visually represent the value given through tally marks. This traditional tally mark system helped them organize and count their data more efficiently.

Overall, the toothpick tally marks activity provided a practical, engaging way for students to grasp fundamental statistics concepts while fostering teamwork and critical thinking skills.
