Before the commencement of the new academic year, CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai organized a series of enriching professional development workshops aimed at equipping teachers with valuable skills and knowledge.

Education Transformation by Ms Chitrakala Ramachandran (4th June 2024) 

Ms. Chitrakala Ramachandran, Principal of Chennai Public School,Thirumazhisai highlighted that the transformation of education is a continuous journey fuelled by technological innovation and evolving societal needs. Emphasizing adaptability and openness to new ideas, she advocated for a personalized, engaging, and effective education system that prepares students for 21st-century challenges.

Professionalism by Dr Sandhya Arunkumar (4th June 2024)

Ms. Sandhya Arunkumar’s session on professionalism for teachers emphasized the importance of behaviours and attitudes that foster a positive educational environment. Key points included continuous professional development, ethical standards, effective communication, professional relationships, efficient classroom management, and maintaining a professional appearance and behaviour to positively impact students and the educational community.

School Policies Session by Miss Priya (4th June 2024)
An informative session covering important school policies, including permissions, attendance, dress code, and employee benefits. The session aimed to foster a more inclusive environment, with a Q&A segment addressing various queries from the staff.

Art of Living Workshop by Mr. Krishna (5th June 2024)
This transformative session equipped educators with stress management tools through breathing exercises, meditation, and yoga. Emphasizing mindfulness, the workshop promoted holistic well-being, addressing physical, mental, and emotional health, and fostering a sense of wholeness and vitality among participants.

Cultures of Thinking Workshop by Mr. Sathyamoorthy (5th June 2024)
A transformative session that prepared teachers to foster a thinking culture in classrooms. Through videos and discussions, educators learned to create an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and heard. The workshop emphasized the importance of freedom in fostering student creativity and proactive behaviour.

ATL Workshop by Ms. Subhashini (6th June 2024)
This interactive workshop focused on different learning approaches and self-reflection within teaching modules. Participants explored various skills, prioritized them per topic, planned activities, created evidence, and tracked progress, fostering an enriching and interactive learning environment

Cambridge Core Resources Workshop by Ms. Vaishali Gandhi (7th June 2024)
Tailored for Primary and Lower Secondary education, this session introduced educators to Cambridge Core’s extensive resources. Teachers gained insights into effectively utilizing textbooks, reference materials, journals, and interactive content to enhance teaching practices and student learning outcomes.

CPR-Cardiopulmonary resuscitation Workshop (7th June 2024)

 A CPR workshop was conducted for teachers, equipping them with essential lifesaving skills. The session covered the fundamentals of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, ensuring teachers could respond effectively in emergencies. Additionally, the workshop addressed handling bleeding, fractures, and choking in students, providing practical demonstrations and hands-on practice.

Understanding and Supporting Learners with Dyslexia by Ms. Lata Vasanth Kumar (8th June 2024)
Conducted by the Madras Dyslexia Association, this session aimed to equip teachers with the knowledge and strategies to support students with dyslexia. Educators learned to identify dyslexia characteristics and create a supportive learning environment to help these students thrive academically and personally.

Art Workshop by Ms. Dhai Abinaya (10th June 2024)
This workshop focused on the proper use of art materials available in school. Teachers learned techniques for using watercolours and acrylics, creating washed-out effects for chart bases, enhancing their ability to incorporate art into their teaching. The teachers made cards using the techniques learnt. 

These workshops collectively enhanced the skills, well-being, and preparedness of CPS Global School’s educators, empowering them to inspire and support their students effectively.
