The post pandemic reopening of schools was not without its challenges since it was
after a gap of almost two years that the students were attending physical school.
CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, organised the Cambridge Lower Secondary
Orientation programme for parents and students on 2 nd July,2022 to help all the
stakeholders understand the changes in curriculum as well as to chart out a
framework for all the checkpoint students appearing for their exams in the year 2023.

The session started on an enthusiastic note as parents and students were in full
attendance, beginning with the keynote address by Head of the School, Ms Jayu
Ganesh who briefly explained all the important initiatives in the school. Apart from
academics, the Lower Secondary Coordinator, Ms. Kanagavalli reiterated the
importance of some guidelines for the post-pandemic conduct in school. The session
stressed on the need to explore and create new traditions and experiences, to find
the space to learn, grow, contribute and connect.

Parents were given an overview of
the entire syllabus along with brief presentations by the facilitators who highlighted
the key academic pursuits in their subjects, alongside addressing the queries and
concerns posed by the parents underlining the importance to participate in the
student’s welfare as a community together. It is very important to differentiate
between education and training and CPS Global School firmly believes that “an
investment in knowledge pays the best interest”.
