Creativity Meets Responsibility @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Engaging young minds in meaningful conversations is vital, and that’s exactly what CIE 8 learners achieved through their innovative project on social awareness during their Global Perspectives classes. Combining creativity with impactful messaging, they designed and presented a series of pluck cards to address pressing societal issues.

The project began with a brainstorming session where the students identified crucial topic they were passionate about, such as environmental conservation, mental health awareness, gender equality, child labour, marine life conservation, suicide prevention, pay inequality and animal poaching and many more. Each team contributed ideas, showcasing teamwork and a deep understanding of these important themes.

Using vibrant colors and striking visuals, the pluck cards convey thought-provoking messages. Each card had a concise statement encouraging self-reflection, such as “Free the hands” or “One’s actions lead to another’s consequence” The cards were created to be engaging and straightforward, allowing them to effectively communicate their message without needing to elaborate on the social issue. This approach allowed their classmates to grasp the significance of the issues quickly and encouraged meaningful conversations around them.

This project not only raised awareness but also empowered students to use their voices for positive change. By combining education, creativity, and social responsibility, these eighth graders proved that even small initiatives can make a significant impact.

Their effort serves as a reminder that young minds hold immense potential to drive societal transformation. By fostering empathy and encouraging proactive involvement, projects like these inspire both peers and adults to join hands in building a more compassionate and aware community.
