The World Scholars Cup is not just a competition but a celebration of learning and an opportunity to connect with like-minded peers from diverse backgrounds. The “Tournament of Champions,” held at the historic Yale University, is the culmination of regional rounds that take place worldwide. Competing at such a high level requires dedication, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for learning—qualities that our students demonstrated in abundance.
It is with immense pride and joy that we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students Paul Jaik Theckumparampil ( IGCSE Yr-2) & Dhiya Jaik Theckumparampil( CIE -8) who recently competed at the prestigious World Scholars Cup “Tournament of Champions” held at Yale University. This international academic competition brought together some of the brightest young minds from across the globe, and our students shone brightly, earning medals in various categories.
Paul and Dhiya’s parents said, “We felt immense pride when we heard ‘Paul Jaik Theckumparampil from Chennai Public School Global, India’ announced in the prestigious Woolsey Hall of Yale by Daniel Berdichevsky, CEO of WSC, to receive his trophy for ranking 6th out of 3000 globally qualified champion scholars from 54 countries. Indeed, the achievements of our students make us truly proud.”
Paul Jaik with his exceptional performance is ranked top 10 around the world and top 1st scholar in Chennai and also received a Trophy for ranking 6th out of 3000 Globally Qualified Champion Scholars from 54 countries. He won a total of 12 medals (9 gold and 3 silver). Dhiya Jaik achieved 6 Golds and 3 silvers with an overall ranking of 139 (GOLD) among the 3000 Globally Qualified Champion Scholars from 54 countries.
