Action is the foundational key to all success – The Checkpoint success story @ CPS GS, Thirumazhisai

The quote by Pablo Picasso stands true in all our endeavours, big or small. The Checkpoint examinees from Primary (CAIE 5) and Lower Secondary (CAIE 8) faced the first external diagnostic exam conducted by CAIE in the month of April 2023. These children have had a major part of their formative education during the pandemic and adapting to the old normalcy took some time but they coped up admirably.

The Lower Secondary Checkpoint results put CPS Global School students at much higher success percentage than the international averages in all the three subjects, English, Mathematics and Science. The Primary Checkpoint results boasted the same for Science, with English and Mathematics very closely following the international averages.

The Checkpoint exams test the 21st century critical thinking skills of the students rather than their rote learning power. These skills are essentially important for the success that students strive for in the national and international arena of academics. Of the 5 students appearing for the Primary Checkpoint exams, 2 scored Outstanding in Science, 2 scored High in both English and Mathematics and 3 in Science and 2 in Good in English and Mathematics.

In the Lower Secondary the results improved with 4 Outstanding in English, 6 Outstanding in Mathematics and a whopping 10 Outstanding in Science of the 14 examinees. There have 2 full scores of 50 in English and Mathematics and 1 full score in Science.

We are proud to showcase the brilliant minds from Lower Secondary Checkpoint who have scored full marks
