Learning becomes truly meaningful when children are given the opportunity to explore the world around them. Our Early Years learners enjoyed an exciting and enriching field trip to Decathlon, where curiosity, movement, and hands-on experiences came together to create a memorable day. From the moment they entered the store, the children eagerly explored the vibrant world of sports. They touched and felt a variety of sportswear, shoes, backpacks, helmets, and sporting equipment, discovering different textures, sizes, and purposes. Their excitement grew as they closely observed bicycles, skates, balls, rackets, and many other sports items, asking thoughtful questions and sharing their ideas with their friends and teachers.
One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity to play on the artificial turf, where the children ran freely, laughed together, and participated in fun physical activities. Their energy and enthusiasm filled the space as they experienced the importance of staying active and healthy through play. Another favourite moment was stepping inside a camping tent, where they imagined exciting outdoor adventures, explored the cosy space, and learned about camping equipment in a playful way.
The field trip was more than just a visit to a sports store—it was an engaging learning experience that encouraged sensory exploration, observation, communication, teamwork, and confidence. Every corner of Decathlon sparked new conversations and inspired the children to explore, discover, and learn through real-life experiences. The day ended with cheerful smiles, happy hearts, and wonderful memories. Our young learners returned to school inspired by the exciting world of sports and adventure, carrying with them valuable experiences that will continue to support their learning journey beyond the classroom.
