A Journey into the World of Theatre at CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai

Written by cpsglobalblog

“Theatre is the art of bringing stories to life, where imagination becomes an unforgettable experience.”

Learning extends far beyond the classroom, and our students recently experienced this firsthand during an exciting educational field trip to the Government Museum, Egmore. Students from CIE 2-5 attended The Giant’s Table, a captivating theatrical performance presented by The Little Theatre in collaboration with talented artists from South Korea. The visit was designed to introduce students to the world of performing arts while nurturing creativity, curiosity, and cultural appreciation. Through expressive storytelling, movement, music, and visual theatre, the performers transported the audience into a magical world that kept the children engaged from beginning to end.

One of the most memorable moments of the performance was its interactive nature. Students eagerly responded to the performers’ invitations to join them on stage, becoming part of the story itself. Their enthusiasm, confidence, and spontaneous participation filled the theatre with excitement and laughter, making the experience truly unforgettable. Beyond the entertainment, the performance encouraged students to think imaginatively, observe closely, and appreciate how stories can be communicated beyond words. Watching international performers also offered a meaningful opportunity to experience another culture through the universal language of theatre. After the performance, students enjoyed lunch together before returning to school, carrying with them wonderful memories and new perspectives. The field trip was a beautiful blend of learning, creativity, and cultural exploration, reminding our young learners that some of the most valuable lessons are discovered through experiences beyond the classroom.
