Our Grade 5 students explored Python decision-making through an exciting unplugged activity. The classroom transformed into a busy intersection as one student became the traffic light while others acted as cars, responding to green, yellow, and red signals. Through this fun experience, students discovered how computers make decisions by following programmed instructions. They then connected their actions to Python’s “if“, “elif“, and “else” statements, making the concept easy to understand. This engaging activity showed that coding isn’t just about computers, it’s about logical thinking, problem-solving, and learning through real-life experiences.
