World Population Day – Learning to Care for People and the Planet @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

“The world is not overpopulated, it’s just poorly managed.”

On July 11, in observance of World Population Day, our learners took part in an engaging session to understand the meaning and importance of this global event.

Through PowerPoint presentations and short videos, learners explored how the growing population affects the Earth’s resources—like food, water, and living space. They reflected on why it is important to take care of the environment, use resources wisely, and ensure everyone has access to basic needs.

The discussion also helped them make connections between population growth, health, education, and sustainable living. They shared thoughtful ideas on how small actions—like saving water or planting trees—can make a big difference.

As one student beautifully put it:
“It’s not about how many people live on Earth, but how we care for each other and our planet.”

The session left learners more aware of their role in building a fair and balanced world for everyone.
