At CPSGS ANN, our early years facilitators recently had the opportunity to participate in an insightful workshop focused on the Cambridge Early Years approaches and curriculum. The session provided a comprehensive understanding of how the Cambridge framework supports the holistic development of young learners, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

The workshop highlighted the core principles of the Cambridge Early Years curriculum, which emphasises child-centred learning, active engagement, and developmentally appropriate practices. It was inspiring to see how the approach integrates key areas of learning—communication, language, literacy, numeracy, personal and social development, physical skills, and creative expression—within a play-based and inquiry-led context.

Through interactive sessions and collaborative discussions, we gained practical insights into planning, assessment, and the role of the adult in facilitating rich learning opportunities. A strong focus was placed on developing critical thinking and independence from an early age, aligning with Cambridge’s global outlook and commitment to high standards.

Overall, the workshop was an enriching experience that deepened the understanding of quality early childhood education. It reinforced the belief in fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning in young children—core values at the heart of the Cambridge Early Years journey.
