To mark Plastic-Free Day, students from IGCSE Yr-1 to IBDP Yr-2 participated in an Inter-Class Poster Challenge titled “The Life of a Plastic Bottle.” Each class explored a different stage of a plastic bottle’s journey—from its origins as fossil fuel to its impact on oceans, wildlife, and human health through microplastics.
After researching and brainstorming, students created thought-provoking posters featuring powerful visuals, facts, and practical solutions. Displayed in sequence, the posters formed a visual storytelling trail, with students presenting their work and encouraging others to reflect on everyday choices.
The activity highlighted an important message: reducing plastic waste starts with each of us. By choosing reusable alternatives and making sustainable decisions, we can all contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet.
