At CPS Global School, we believe learning becomes truly meaningful when it connects the classroom with the real world. With great joy, we introduced our new initiative — The Gleanings Initiative — where parents become guest facilitators, sharing their knowledge and experiences with our young learners.
We were thrilled to begin this journey with Ms. Indumathi, a parent from our community, who is an Environmental Engineer (B.E., M.Tech). She led the very first Gleanings session for Grade 1 on the topic: “Eco Warriors – Save the Planet.”
The session was lively and interactive. Children learned about:
- What global warming means
- Simple ways they can help the planet every day — like saving water, switching off lights, and using less plastic
- A fun sing-along song, “Save the Planet”
- A group activity in teams, encouraging teamwork and eco-friendly thinking
- A special Eco Warrior Oath, where learners promised to protect water and electricity. They even received an Eco Warriorsticker as a reminder of their role!
A big thank you to Ms. Indumathi for inspiring our learners to care for the Earth and take action, even in small ways. We look forward to many more such sessions where learning and community come together!
